Mark Cuban has been an absolute breath of fresh air for Mavs fans since the day he bought this franchise. We have all become very spoiled with at least 50 wins (9 straight years if they make it this year!) But this very VETERAN team (old in some circles and not very athletic) has reached a standstill for the time being. The contracts that Donnie and Mark have given out to try and win an NBA Championship (and by the way they were 6 minutes from doing that...so don't hate) have rendered this team nearly helpless when it comes to heading in a different direction. So suffer through 50ish wins (and by the way about 20 other teams would like to suffer that much) and most likely an early playoff exit this year....and next - but stay tuned because salary cap relief/flexibility will be there as the 2010 season ends. Here's hoping that Chris Bosh still loves Dallas and would relish a chance to play with Dirk and Jet for the final years of their careers...that would be fun to watch! Remember - you're spoiled - Dirk is still amazing to watch, Jet is the 6th Man of the Year and 50-51 wins is a good season in the NBA. I sure would like to see one more title push before 41 retires though wouldn't you?
